Men’s Wedding Rings, Latest Trends
Men’s wedding rings are starting to evolve and kiwi blokes are becoming a bit more adventurist when selecting their wedding rings . We are seeing a definite trend towards white metals, titanium, 9ct or 18ct white gold, palladium and platinum. Often there will be a combination of metals involved with inlays of gold and sometimes rose gold. The wider rings around 7mm and 8mm are becoming more popular but this will also be determined by the size of the finger to keep the balance right on the hand.
There is a real trend towards Palladium as it is stronger than 9ct white gold (see image with 9ct white gold ring on the left and palladium below) which does not require rhodium plating and is reasonably priced i.e. not much more than 9ct white gold.
Platinum looks very much the same as palladium is also more in demand as the prices have come back in recent months bringing back into reach for more people, again platinum does not require rhodium plating and is hypoallergenic.
We are also finding men are becoming more receptive to having diamonds in their wedding rings (see 9ct 2 tone ring image below) even if only small ones just to add a touch of class and individuality.
Matched sets of ladies and gents wedding rings are also becoming popular as illustrated with the ladies and gents 18ct two tone set image of two Peter Beck rings, the ladies with diamonds added as in the image below:
So what can we learn from the latest trends in mens wedding rings? The Kiwi male is finally being adventurous…
